Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Context Aware ("we", "us") covering your use of Kingdom of Bad Ideas (the "Game") and kingdomofbadideas.com. By creating an account or playing the Game, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You are responsible for your account and everything done with it, so keep your sign-in secure. One person, one account, unless we say otherwise.

2. Your license to play

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these terms. We and our licensors keep all rights to the Game, including its cards, art, text, characters and code.

3. Virtual items and purchases

• Cards, packs, gems, gold, shards and other in-game items ("Virtual Items") are part of the license above. They have no cash value, are not your property, and cannot be sold, traded outside the Game, or redeemed for money.
• Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms and refund policies apply. Except where the law requires otherwise, purchases are final.
• We may change, rebalance or remove Virtual Items and game features, for example to keep the Game fair.
• Pack contents are random.

4. Fair play and conduct

You agree not to:

• cheat, or use bots, exploits, modified clients or other unauthorized software;
• interfere with the Game's servers or other players' matches;
• sell, buy or share accounts or Virtual Items outside the Game;
• choose a display name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or pretends to be us;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players;
• reverse engineer the Game, except where the law permits it.

5. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Game or its players at risk. You can stop playing and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). If your account is closed, you lose access to its Virtual Items. Where the law requires it, we will explain why and give you a way to appeal.

6. Changes to the Game

The Game requires an internet connection. It is a live service and will change over time: we may add, alter or remove content and features, and we may someday discontinue it. If we plan to shut the Game down, we will give reasonable notice in the Game.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

8. Disclaimers

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Game will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or Virtual Items. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Game is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date above, and we will tell you in the Game if a change is significant. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in them limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
